Believe it or not, the goofy kiddo really cleans up well. This was taken the night of her second grade Christmas program.

Can you imagine the thrill? I've played a little guitar with many of my heroes over the years, and been all over the world with a guitar in my hands...but I will always remember June of 2006 when I got to get on stage in front of thousands and play rhythm guitar while Julie Jones WAILED out a lead! Check out the chops here as Julie makes the official "woman-in-the-middle-of-a-solo-and-this-is-serious-stuff!" face. She was so hot that the sound guy actually insisted that she wear safety glasses per union policy.

We were asked to keep moving for security reasons, but DID manage to sneak a fast peek at the rig she was playing. The guitar is a limited edition Bud-Air, with a vinyl finish and a faux rosewood fingerboard - according to the rep, there were fewer of these made than anyone realizes. It's clear from the photo that she was wireless, but I'd swear I saw an early 70's Marshall stack in a really rare pink tolex backstage, loaded with vintage Celestions and hard-wired to a vintage variac circuit signed by Van Halen himself with the message "To Julie Jones, who taught me everything! Love always, Eddie".

Sadly, all good things must end, and the fire marshal shut us down just as Julie was really getting warmed up. Truly, I am not worthy.

Thanks Julie -

"The Terminantha"

It was an honor to participate in the 2006 "The Cruise" ride to benefit the Rochester Ronald McDonald House. Being part of a parade of nearly 1,000 bikes was cool, but helping to raise over $81K for a great cause, that's the stuff I'll tell my grandkids about someday. Please see all of the pics on the KWWK photos page - and as always, thanks to Terry Greenwaldt for the pics. Yes, that is my beloved bike, named Loretta.

Here's another shot from Terry, and this time I even got to be in the photo with the guitar! If I had a nickle for every hour I've spent with this guitar in my hands, I could probably pay for a really nice vacation somewhere...
